RACHEL ANA DOBKEN

(DRUMS, GUITAR, VOCALS, PIANO, PRODUCER) is a powerhouse musician who studied jazz at Bard College. The Asbury Park, NJ native, described as “My Morning Jacket-meets-Amy Winehouse,” has a knack for blending indie-rock & soul, and has been featured by BTRtoday, Relix Magazine, The Deli Magazine, Substream, Guitar Girl Magazine, Atwood Magazine, New York Times, Asbury Park Press, the Star Ledger, The Aquarian Weekly & more. Her self-released LP “When It Happens To You,” is out now (which she played drums, guitar piano and sang) along with a music video for “Always.”

Dobken worked closely with famed music photographer Danny Clinch (who photographed her album) as original Music Director of his Transparent Gallery in Asbury Park. She has sat in with national acts Mike McCready, G. Love, Blind Melon, Robert Randolph, Rayland Baxter, Brian Fallon (Gaslight Anthem), Grahame Lesh, Nicole Atkins, Tash Neal and many more.

Dobken’s most recent album “Acceptance” was produced by Dobken in conjunction with Erik Romero from The Front Bottoms and Paul Ritchie from The Parlor Mob. It features a slew of special guests including Rogers Stevens of Blind Melon, Clint Maedgen of Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Danny Clinch and more. Dobken played drums, guitar, piano and sang.
